Account Executive - Public Relations (1-3 yrs)
Purpose : The role of the Account Executive is to implement PR plans, and deliver results for client campaigns. An Account Executive should be proficient at working with the media, and be able to develop basic communications material. In addition, he or she should be able to effectively liaise with a client on a day to day basis.
Competency required :
1. Work well with Microsoft Office Power Point - using this tool to create professional looking presentations that include animation
2. Communicate proficiently in the English language mandatory
Job Role :
1. Organize and manage client and industry related media coverage in an efficient manner
2. Be able to produce first drafts of : Press releases, background notes, fact sheets, story pitches, media Q&As, spokesperson biographies
3. Generate coverage for press releases in the right media, based on an intimate understanding of the industry, media needs, and client objectives
4. Create accurate and relevant media lists for specific events or other engagement activities
5. Ideate, sell and generate coverage for media features as required by the PR campaign, based on an understanding of the media landscape and opportunities, industry trends, and client messages
6. Develop a basic media plan to support key engagement activities within the overall PR plan.
7. Have a deep understanding of the trade media related to a client, and have in-depth relationships with representatives
8. Communicate with clients, and respond to their requests in the right manner, with support from manager
9. Service clients in a way that ensures the highest levels of satisfaction at all times
10. Provide ideas to add value to a client PR campaign
