Academic Counselor/Tele sales/Inside Sales Role - Education (2-7 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract prospective students.
- Represent the institution at college fairs, high schools, and other recruitment events.
- Build relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote the institution.
Advising:
- Provide information and guidance to prospective students about academic programs, admission requirements, financial aid, and campus life.
- Assist students with the application process, including reviewing application materials and providing feedback.
- Conduct informational sessions and campus tours for prospective students and their families.
Evaluation:
- Evaluate applications for admission based on established criteria and standards.
- Review academic transcripts, standardized test scores, essays, letters of recommendation, and other application materials.
- Make admission decisions and communicate them to applicants in a timely manner.
Relationship Management :
- Cultivate relationships with prospective students and their families to support them throughout the admission process.
- Collaborate with academic departments, financial aid offices, and other campus units to ensure a smooth transition for admitted students.
- Maintain contact with admitted students to encourage enrollment and address any concerns or questions.
Data Management:
- Maintain accurate records of prospective students, applicants, and admissions decisions in the institution's database.
- Generate reports and analyze data related to recruitment and admission activities to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in college admissions, counseling, or related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of higher education trends, admission policies, and financial aid options.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the recruitment and admission process.
