Academic Counselor - Sales - Education (1-2 yrs)
Key Responsibilities :
- Advise students on the various options available for studying abroad. This may include recommending universities, programs, and courses that are suitable for the student's academic background and interests.
- Assist students with the application process for universities abroad. Guide students through the visa application process. Provide information on the necessary documents, deadlines, and help students prepare for interviews with visa officers.
- Provide students with information on funding options such as scholarships, bursaries, and loans.
- Develop relationships with universities abroad to keep up to date with changes in admission criteria and requirements.
- Keep accurate records of student applications, academic transcripts, and other important documents to ensure that all necessary information is always available.
- Stay informed about changes in visa requirements, admission policies, and new programs to be able to advise students effectively.
- Provide ongoing support to students once they have enrolled in their overseas programs.
- This may include providing advice on academic and personal issues, and helping students navigate any cultural or linguistic barriers they may face.
Key Requirements :
- A bachelor's degree is required for this position, preferably in a related field such as education, counselling, international relations, or a language-related discipline.
- Should have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in placing students to international universities.
- Should have excellent customer service skills to provide students with a positive experience and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Must have a strong understanding of the international education landscape, including knowledge of different countries' education systems, universities, and admission requirements.
- Must have excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communication, to be able to effectively advise and guide students.
