As an academic counsellor, the candidate (he/she) MUST OWN these responsibilities :

- Build rapport and gain confidence of the leads.

- Explain, Counselling the courses & fee structure.

- Communication with lead and convert them as students by enrolment

- Maintain the data and report on regular basis.

- Update self on courses offered and fee structure, periodically.

- Marketing materials like prospects, pamphlets, institution assets and application forms.

- Collection of the fee and caution deposit as appropriate on regular basis. And ensure that the receipts are issued by co-ordinating with accounts team.

- Collect all relevant documents along with application form.

- Conduct - Webinars, Online Group Counselling, Online One on One Counselling

(Training will be provided, if prior experience is not there.)

- Knowledge and experience around generating leads (through emails/ internet/ social networks/walk-in/by participating in college cultural /events in corporate etc) would be preferred. As an academic counselor, active participation in such events to enrol students needs to be done.

- The above points are guidelines and the responsibility is NOT limited to the above and are subject to modifications as per business development manager/director based on the requirement.

ROLE COMPETENCIES

As an academic counsellor, the candidate MUST /HAVE these competencies and skills:

- Excellent communication skills, presentation skills to impress the candidates.

- Urge to learn and to convey what they really want the students to know & understand.

- Must be a go-getter and enjoy the overall sales process with positive attitude.

- Preferably someone who's achiever, result oriented and ambitious to grow, exceed targets on a consistent basis.

- Must and should comply with the policies.

- Over and above, should be a team player, adaptable and willing to stretch and be part of success story of institution.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :

- Must be a graduate, preferably in English medium. Must have at least 18 months of relevant experience in similar educational institutions
