Job description of Business Development Manager
As the driving force behind generating new sales leads and contacts, a successful business development manager is a highly-prized asset to any company. We are looking for such young, dynamic people at 17Seven - A digital design studio at our Thane office.
17Seven is a digital brand & product design Studio. Founded on the belief of creating incredible end-user experiences by blending design with business. We create brand identity and digital products that connects with the consumers & engage them.
Your job as a business development manager is to identify sales leads, pitch services to new clients and maintain a good working relationship with new contacts.
This role revolves around good communication and your duties are likely to include:
- Generate leads, build relationships, conduct pitch meetings and successfully close business with prospective clients (both domestic and international).
- Design, develop and implement a continuous and consistent client engagement program.
- Collaborate - with Client Relations team to identify revenue maximization opportunities with existing clients.
- Prepare and submit proposals as per client requirements. Introduce knowledge management tools and documentation practices.
- Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings
- Planning and preparing presentations
- Communicating new product developments to prospective clients
- Research and build relationships with new clients.
- Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met.
- Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network. Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
- Sales & Business Development.
- Relationship Management & Customer Satisfaction.
- Business & Technical Analysis.
- Handling national and international market - Proposals
- Willingness to Travel to meet clients.
Skills and Competencies
- Understanding of the creative services ecosystem with experience in at least three of these areas: digital, investor engagement, marketing communications, moving image, brand, sustainability and employee engagement.
- Excellent network and relationships with corporates and influencers at senior levels.
- Motivated high performer with a focused and entrepreneurial thought process.
- Proven ability to commit to and outperform on targets.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office software, including PowerPoint.
- Open to travelling and being on the move
- Good business sense
- A deep understanding of marketing principles
- Good communication skills & a good team player
- Self learner with a positive attitude
- Negotiation skills & plenty of initiative
- Ability to quick learn
Qualifications and Experience
- Three to five years experience in a client interfacing role preferably in a services organization. Should have had direct revenue responsibility for at least a part of tenure.
- Degree in marketing, business management or equivalent.
- Background in communication services preferable - advertising, media, PR or similar services.
- Exposure to corporate communications a must.
